Wonderfully wild, these captivating ear buttons are rendered in gold tone metal and feature a three dimensional roaring leopard (or panther) head almost emerging from the design. The panther motif started appearing in jewels during the Art Deco era, but it was Jeanne Toussaint, former artistic director of Cartier Jewellery and Louis Cartiers lover, who reintroduced it in the 1940s.
