The result of this voting was overwhelming and also brought a new perspective to me as my favorite images were not always those receiving the most votes

I zoomed in on this waterfall to capture the detail of the waterfall and then slightly moved the camera a little bit during the long exposure

I had planned to photograph around Bear Lake one morning

It was an overcast day but this allowed for the low clouds to set the scene as I looked towards Po Lin Monastery

Sunset in Greenland Presentation:Matted The result of this votingFrom the back of the M V Ocean Nova I watched the sunset as we sailed south through the a fjord in the Northeast Greenland National Park. The layers of the rocks and water itself helped ground the image to provide a sense of place with the orange sky during dusk which also lit up the only clouds I saw on this day. While this was in early September, it would only be a couple of months until this area is frozen over with sea ice for the winter.
